A little history of John Blair and Foxgate Farms

John Blair has had over 40 years experience with horses. As an eleven year old boy he was a threat to his older competitors in the ring with his horses "Ex-Dream" and "Dynaflo".

He spent many years as Assistant Director of Riding at Skidmore College (Saratoga, N.Y.) and rode many horses for Ralph Symmes and John Schaffner.

Foxgate Farms originated in Clifton Park N.Y. and has been a very successful show barn for over 10 years. John coached many young riders to success at the Medal and Maclay finals who continued on to become professionals such as Scotty Hofstetter, Michele Blair and Timmy Goegan. He later rode and managed the Grand Prix horses "Aramis" and "Sugar Ray" for Grand Prix rider Buddy Brown, 3 time winner of the prestigious International Jumping Derby. He also worked intermittently in a similar capacity for Anthony D'Ambrosio, another exceptional Grand Prix rider.
